At SPH Kundalila we recognize that any companies most important asset, is its people. We recognize the management of Safety, Health and the Environment as an integral part of our business which enables our continued existence at our numerous operations.
To achieve this, The Management of SPH Kundalila have drafted and implemented Health, Safety and Environmental Policies that serve as our utmost commitment and promise to ensure that workers return home safely and healthy to their families after their shift worked.
SPH Kundalila is a proud member of ASPASA (Aggregate and Sand Producers of South Africa) who audit our safety and environmental systems annually. The audit protocols are aligned with ISO45001 and ISO14001 to ensure legal compliance with leading international occupational standards as well as DMRE and DOL requirements under the Mine Health and Safety Act 29 of 1996 and the Occupational Health and Safety Act 85 of 1993.
The purpose of an Occupational Health & Safety management system is to provide a framework for managing Occupational Health & Safety risks and opportunities. The aim and intended outcomes of the management systems are to prevent work-related injury and ill health to workers and to provide safe and healthy workplaces; consequently, it is of critical importance for the organization to eliminate hazards and minimize Occupational Health & Safety risks by taking effective preventive and protective measures.
Our performance is measured to ensure the continual improvement of our Health, Safety and Environmental Statistics.
